Definition of Acne

From a medical perspective acne is a very common skin disease caused by inflammation of pilosebaceous follicles, particularly caused by the bacterium ACNI propion (Researchers have discovered the complete genome of this bacterium, which suggests further drug more specific in the future) and / or a change in hormone levels.

Its most common form, juvenile acne, about 80% of adolescents and heals spontaneously by the age of 19 years, in 90% of cases, leaving no scars.

We realize that bacteria play a central role, an antibacterial is an excellent therapy (eg. Benzoyl peroxide).

Acne should be properly treated because it can cause scarring and lead to psychological problems (depression, isolation, loss of confidence ,…).

There are different forms of acne (acne, acne rosacea ,….) and only a doctor (dermatologist) may make a correct diagnosis and suggest appropriate therapy.
