Causes of Cellulite

Causes.

Cellulite is caused by some types of bacteria entering the skin when it is broken at some point (not always visible).

Group A streptococci and staphylococci are the main causes. Normally live on the surface of the skin (skin flora) but does not cause infection until the skin is broken.

Some cases in which this can happen are:

It is common for cellulite occur in unprotected areas of the body including the arms, legs or face.

The bacteria that cause inflammation are usually:

  • Haemophilus influenzae.
  • Streptococcus Group B who have undergone hemolysis.
  • Streptococcus pneumoniae.
  • Being the most important for its often Stafilococus Aureus.
